This is a “natural” or dry-processed coffee, meaning the beans were dried inside the fruit, encouraging a flavor profile that is sweeter and deeper-toned than the more familiar wet-processed profiles of Colombia.
The Geisha tree or Abisinian is known to be a high and rarefied plant; its leaves are oblong and narrow. The cherries and seeds are known to be big and can be easily recognized.
First brought to international prominence in 2004 from a farm in Panama, this rediscovered coffee originates in Ethiopia close to the original home of coffee. With prices for high altitude Geishas fetching over $600 per pound (highest price recorded for ANY coffee), this Colombian Geisha from the boutique farm of Cafe Inmaculada, is an outstanding example of a fine Geisha coffee.
Through special arrangement, we purchased the last 50lbs of this spectacular lot of Geisha Natural coffee available anywhere; when this is gone, it's gone!
This coffee is just sublime and is meant to be savored. The complexity and tone rank it among the top 1% of any coffee. With subtle flavors of limoncello, caramel, fig, apple and cocoa, it has to be tasted to be believed. With acid that is bright but smooth and a finish that lingers like a fine wine, a cup will deliver coffee perfection.
We are offering this to our customers first before we advertise to the general public. There are less than 100 bags available, so order now or forever wonder .....
