Jimmy's Java sources coffee from some of the most exclusive sources in the world. These are extraordinary values that we find deep in supplier warehouses. In most cases these are first crop coffee direct from the growers.
Acoffee beanis a seed of theCoffeaplant and the source forcoffee. It is the seedinside the red or purple fruit often referred to as a cherry. Just like regular cherries, the coffee fruit is also a called a stone fruit. Even though the coffee beans are not technically beans, they are referred to as such because of their resemblance to real beans. The fruits – coffee cherries or coffee berries – most commonly contain two stones (beans) with their flat sides together. A small percentage of cherries contain a single seed, instead of the usual two (peaberry). The peaberry occurs only between 10 and 15% of the time, and it is a fairly common (yet unproven) belief that they have more flavor than normal coffee beans.
