The Timuza Coffee Cooperative represents about 260 smallholder farmers of the Kamano tribal group, located southwest of Kainantu in the hamlets surrounding Namura town. The soils are a mix of black & brownish red loam, with predominately traditional typica grown under casuarina and albizia shade trees. Average farm size is 1.4 hectares per family, with adjacent gardens for cultivation of food crops such as sweet potato, taro, and cassava. Farmers have received training and assistance in financial management, gender equality, coffee husbandry and standards for processing through local partners. The harvest takes place from April through September, with selective harvest of ripe cherry, manually pulping, fermentation in traditional bilum bags, washing, and full sun-drying. In 2016, Timuza placed 1st in the National Cupping Competition.

from 1953 reviewsMatlacha Midnight Dark Roast has a wonderful deep flavor and is not bitter. Great way to start the morning.

The result is a flavorful low-acid coffee with dominant notes of caramel and chocolate, backed by hints of toasted hazelnut and vanilla. It’s the perfect partner for a nutty praline or chocolate dessert.

I loved flavored coffee, but I only drink decaf, and it can be hard to find anything other than hazelnut or vanilla. I developed a taste for coconut decaf after finding a brand on Amazon, but it’s been discontinued so I’ve been on the hunt ever since. This is my favorite by far. Not too weak with just enough coconut flavor to not be overpowering. Plan to keep buying.

My order has not arrived yet.
It’s wonderful coffee, I love it, but unfortunately this order has still not arrived.

This medium roast balances smooth notes of chocolate and caramel with a hint of citrus and berry jam to stand out.The aroma has sweeter elements like vanilla and chocolate to add complexity to every sip.Better for dark roast lovers
Some say it tastes slightly burnt, however, they must have defective palates , in my humble observations.

Nice blend for the beginning of a great day!

My new go-to. Amazing I can get this quality Local.

We discovered Jimmy’s Java last spring. We became instead fans of the Sanibel Sunrise has great flavor and the low acid is easy on my body.

Great smooth cup. Super we can get this type of quality Local!

Great smooth cup, perfect for easy living.

Smooth, subtle, less pronounced earthy and chocolate mineral undertones. Nice slight finish on the tongue, larynx, and innards.

Delicious and smooth. Awesome taste!
